Cuisine d'Art · Japanese Sushi & Contemporary Fine Dining
Nestled on Chinggis Avenue in the heart of Ulaanbaatar, Bluefin Cuisine d'Art is more than a restaurant — it is a living gallery. Ranked among the top fifteen restaurants in all of Mongolia, Bluefin fuses Japanese culinary precision with a curated fine-art experience that lines every wall.
Every plate is composed with the discipline of ikebana. Our chefs bring together the ocean's finest bluefin tuna, locally-sourced Mongolian lamb, and seasonal ingredients to create dishes that honour both tradition and imagination. The open kitchen is a stage; every evening, theatre unfolds.
Sushi rice seasoned with precise proportions of vinegar, sugar, and salt. Nori selected for its deep ocean aroma. The roll is formed with even pressure.
Our chef wields a single-edge yanagiba — a blade exclusive to Japanese culinary tradition. Each stroke is one fluid, pulling motion. No sawing.
The blade descends in a single, decisive stroke. The cross-section reveals layers: dark nori, white rice, and the vibrant heart of the filling.
Each piece arranged with the precision of ikebana. Colour, height, spacing — every element considered. The plate is a canvas. Eating is art.
Each dish at Bluefin is composed with the same care a painter gives to canvas. Our open kitchen is a stage where culinary theatre unfolds every evening — visible, alive, and intentional.

Very unassuming from outside but lovely inside. Really professional service and all food fantastic. Sushi was really good. So good we had dinner twice and lunch. Best place we tried in UB.
Of the many good restaurants we ate at in Mongolia, this was my favourite. Wonderful presentation. I couldn't believe I was in Mongolia. Hidden world-class art gallery upstairs — stunning.
Regularly come here for lunch — quality of food is amazing, value for money exceptional and great service. Tip: arrive 10–15 minutes before noon to beat the rush!
